In particular, I wrote this e-cookbook for those who need to go on a low-glycemic index diet because of the danger of being diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes, or those who are trying to reverse their Type-2 diabetes. I also wrote it for Celiacs who can’t eat gluten and want delicious wholesome foods.

Why I wrote this e-cookbook

Intrigued by the claims in Wheat Belly, I began searching for grain-free recipes to try, and as I started moving away from a diet high in carbohydrates and sugars to one that was mostly grain-free, as well as avoiding processed foods as much as possible, I found that I was also gradually feeling better.

Mainly, for my mum

Mainly, I posted recipes of foods that my mum would be able to make and eat without fear of causing unhealthy spikes in her blood sugar levels. I managed to convince my mum to move to a low-glycemic index diet (and to eat grain-free foods as much as possible).
After changing her diet, my mum lost 14 pounds, dropped two dress sizes, as well as showed great improvement in her hemoglobin A1c test (a test which measures a 90-day average of a person’s blood sugar levels).

Do you use “common” ingredients in the recipes?
The ingredients used in these recipes are not as common as the typical wheat flour, but include ingredients such as nut flours (think almond flour, coconut flour, tapioca starch, cashew meal, etc.).
In the book, I also teach you how to make your own homemade nut flour alternatives if you can’t find ingredients such as almond flour, for example.
